I teach at an elementary school in New Hampshire. To keep children motivated in Science and Maths is sometimes a problem. We, the staff, decided to invite the Mad Science illustrators to "edutain" the children. Our school playground soon turned into a mini wonderland full of magical ponds and mini volcanoes oozing out slimy phosphorescent green liquids, beakers with bubbling blue coloured water which wasn't hot at all. The edutainers were patient with the kids explaining the phenomena behind each of their magical creations. What the Mad Science guys had succeeded in doing is to implant deeply the curiosity of exploring into each children which made the event worth each cent.
